The Carbon Correcting Peel works by sending energy in rapid bursts to the carbon that is applied to the face. Due to the fact that the laser energy is attracted to the carbon application, it focuses the energy on the epidermis.

The carbon is ‘blasted’ away by the laser energy, aiding in the removal of debris found in the pores and dead skin cells. In addition, the thermal effect produced by the laser has the ability to stimulate collagen production.

What to expect during the treatment:

  • A thin layer of carbon lotion is applied to the face then given time to dry (around 15minutes)
  • The laser targets the carbon lotion which simultaneously removes the lotion and exfoliates the outermost skin layer
  • The “blasting” away of the carbon by the laser can be quite loud and jarring the first treatment
  • Warmth from the laser can be felt during the treatment but should not be uncomfortable

Post Care

  • Immediate cooling
  • Avoid tanning/sun exposure and use minimum SPF 30

  • Excessive heat or sweating up to 48 hours post treatment
  • Gentle cleansing and moisturizing 48 hours post treatment
  • Avoid Retin A, Salicylic Acid, high concentration vitamin C, alcohol and any other highly irritating skin products for two weeks post treatment
